The hippy look can be beautiful and unique , and you dont actually have to be a hippie to pull it off and still look cute 🙂

Step 1 : GET HAIR AND MAKEUP RIGHT

Makeup should be kept blunt or natural sometimes because hippie culture shows a lott of freedom , but generally they use really bright artificial colours and dark lippies. The key is also to look fresh and gorgeous.

Step 2 : MAYBE GET A HAIRBAND or braid or just leave your hair open and get a messy/unkempt look specially for long hair.
If you have short hair dont worry . loose, hippy up dos are fabulous! invest in a few sparkly or beaded bobby pins , or a silk hair scarf if you like and make little plaits/braids and twist other sections of hair and pin them at the back of your head, then tuck the ends over at the back and pin them up. Pull a few strands loose, add a couple of curls if you want, sp[ray lightly and you have a beautiful casual up do !

Step 3 : WORK ON HIPPY CLOTHES

The clothes are the most fun part, you can really play with colour and texture yet make it comfy .
Long floaty skirts or palazzos are perfect for the look. if yours plain then tie a colourful silk scarf around the waistbnd and sew a few beads to them.

Now for the top half anything goes well , a general rule is to wear anything tigher , more feminine tops , such as vests with cardigans when covering up your legs and baggier tops when showing them off. This way your look is feminine but stil casual and comfortable.

Band tees can be really cool, just make sure you know the band you are wearing over your heart.

Step 4 : ACCESSORIZE with bangles, kooky bags , hand made jewellery, badges, and a big old pair of sunnies and you are good to go !

Step 5 : DONT BE AFRAID OF A SPLASH OF COLOUR, BUT DONT GO ALL OUT : its really fun to do . and there are lots of brilliant tehniques , you cn play around with too !
